There are many great translations of the Christian Bible. We recommend the following Bibles for various age groups.
Birth to 4 years old – The Beginner’s Bible (ISBN 0310709628). A great Bible to read to young children. The pictures are simple and fun.
4 to 3rd grade – Read with Me Bible (ISBN 0310920086). For early readers, this fully illustrated Bible gets kids reading and learning the great stories of our faith.
3rd grade through Adult – The Adventure Bible (ISBN 0310715431). This NIV translation of the Bible is easy to read for children and adults and has notes for useful ways to apply the Bible to everyday life. We give this Bible to all 3rd grade children in our Sunday School.
Adult Study Bible – Zondervan NIV Study Bible, Personal Size (ISBN 0310923077). This is a great adult study Bible. Each book of the Bible has a solid introduction to the narrative and historical context of the book. It also includes suggestions for reading the book, a subject guide, and excellent maps. We give this Bible to graduating high school seniors.
